With X-Bar, set off in search of the perfect e-liquid and discover the essential criteria for a successful vaping experience!
Nicotine is not necessarily present in all e-liquids.Nevertheless, it remains one of the key components of e-liquids: its presence helps to bridge the gap between smoking and smoking cessation, for a smooth weaning process. Depending on the dosage, nicotine also enhances the hit, a pleasant sensation caused by inhaling smoke.
The choice of nicotine level depends on the level of hit required. If the nicotine present in the e-liquid is low, the hit will not be very pronounced. On the contrary, if the nicotine level is high, the smoker will feel a strong sensation in the throat.
A person accustomed to traditional cigarettes will obviously not have the same resistance as an occasional smoker, and will be better able to withstand a high nicotine dosage.
The ideal level of nicotine depends on individual needs and sensitivities, as well as the habits of former smokers.
As a guide, we recommend the following nicotine levels:
For an occasional smoker of 0 to 5 cigarettes a day, 3 to 6 mg nicotine;
For a moderate smoker of 5 to 10 cigarettes a day, 3 to 6 mg;
For a regular smoker, 10 to 20 cigarettes a day, 9 to 12 mg;
For heavy smokers, over 20 cigarettes a day, 16 to 20 mg.
There are 2 types of nicotine:
An electronic cigarette e-liquid is always composed of a neutral base, itself made up of two components: Propylene Glycol (PG) and Vegetable Glycerine (VG).
Propylene glycol supports the flavors and is responsible for the hit produced by the liquid. It promotes the release of flavors, giving a better rendering, and helps preserve the e-liquid’s freshness. The richer the e-liquid’s PG content, the more powerful the hit and the more pronounced the flavors.
Vegetable glycerine is the source of the vapor produced by vape, which perfectly mimics ordinary cigarette smoke. It gives the liquid its thick, viscous appearance. The more GV a bottle contains, the bigger the clouds it produces. However, it remains less tasty than a liquid containing a little more PG.
E-liquids can be fruity, gourmand, beverage-flavored, candy-flavored, mentholated or classic: a multitude of flavors that will keep your head spinning!
The taste of e-liquid is first and foremost a personal affair that can take time: so don’t hesitate to test as many flavors as possible to refine your choice.
A beginner vapoteur will generally look for a classic, tobacco-like taste, before considering varying flavors.
There are 6 families of flavors available for sale:
Choosing an e-liquid flavor that’s right for you means putting all the chances on your side to ensure the success of your smoking cessation.
Not all e-liquids are compatible with your electronic cigarette. The choice depends largely on the equipment you use:
Pods, Puffs and beginner kits are variable-power devices, ideal for PG/VG ratios of 50/50 or 70/30. It’s important to ensure that the liquid is not too rich in VG, lest it cause dry hits;
Mods and sub-ohms are higher-power devices. They are ideal for liquids with a high VG content that produce a dense, satisfying vapor.
X-Bar currently offers 21 e-liquid flavors, including pink lemonade, iced mango, cotton candy, mint, iced watermelon, macchiato, red fruit and raspberry wafer. Variety is the name of the game!
